Don't be Greedy!

Here is the photo of a monthly donation appeal of which I received from the post this morning. Sorry, I can't stop laughing out loud when spotting the donation amount they asked for. Monthly donation appeals are principally positioned to solicit donations from a huge pool of individuals who are not yet connected to the organization and might have very limited knowledge about it and emotional distracted. With this in mind, what do you think is a more appropriated asking amount?

It is realistic to note that one decisive influential factor for signing up of any monthly donation campaign is that the amount being solicited is not sufficient from the donor's perspective which requires no second thought. In another word, it is quite an impulsive decision. Yes, for sure that as a fundraiser we certainly want to raise the much possible amount from each appeal, but it also has to be done reasonably. One step at a time!
